Franks Preview

Last week The Franks Family welcomed little Parker into the world! I was fortunate enough to be called to take some pictures for this GORGEOUS family! And yes, Cece and Elle are twins...they couldn't get any cuter!

Jessica Hollis Preview

Several weeks ago I contacted Jessica Hollis of Jessica Hollis Photography to do some family photos for us. I was shocked and flattered when she responded that she knew who I was and wanted me to do some maternity photos for her. So we started with her maternity pics last Friday and our family photos will be this Friday. I had sooooo much fun and Jessica is a doll, as you can tell from the pictures. Now I can't wait for this Friday and to show you the beautiful shots I'm sure she's going to get for our family!

Darden/Huffman Wedding

Well, this is what I was up to this weekend. Spending some time with this sweet couple. I truly cannot say enough good things about Briana and Chadd. I was honored when they called and wanted me to shoot their wedding. And they are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside. Thank you Bri and Chadd for letting me share in your special day!

Saying Goodbye

Sunday night my Ganu passed away. For all that are not familiar, my Ganu (and Paw-Paw) practically raised me. I think I spent as much time with them as I did my own parents. They were not actually my grandparents, but I certainly didn't know any better, since they were literally in my life since birth. And to be honest, I don't think they knew any better either. As I think I've stated quite often in the past, I had THE BEST childhood any kid could ask for and they, of course, had every bit to do with that! My Paw-Paw actually passed away when I was a freshman in high school and I think it's harder for me now than it was 15 years ago. They say it's suppose to get easier, but for me, not the case. I still, to this day, cannot talk about him without crying. I think I've realized it's something I'll never get over. Now with my Ganu gone, I know they are finally together again, which is comforting, but still so sad for those of us left behind with nothing but pictures and memories. I, without a doubt, believe they were in my life (and I in theirs) for a reason.  They helped teach me the true meaning of unconditional love and whether in body, or soul, they will always be with me.
