Welcome to the World!!!

We welcomed Jackson Dallas to the world on June 24, 2008 at 12:14am. He weighed 7 lbs. 12oz., was 20 inches long, and was 3 weeks early! I went to the hospital Sunday evening June 22 with regular contractions and was sent home about 1:30am Monday morning. At 8am Monday June 23, my water broke and we were on our way back to the hospital. By 7pm, after 11 hours, they gave me an epidural and medicine to help strengthen my contractions. By 10pm I was fully dialated to 10cm and began pushing at 10:15pm. I really thought he would be here on June 23, but after pushing for 2 hours, Jack made his arrival on June 24 at 12:14am.

For more pictures, visit the photobucket website that you can access by clicking on the link to the right. The password is jacksondallas. We encourage anyone with pictures to also contribute to his album.

The Baby Shower

These are pictures from my shower that was Saturday June 7 at Mary's Restaurant in Herrin. Everyone had so much fun! We had a light lunch of soup and salad and the most wonderful cake from Cristaudo's. My friends Melissa Farley and Brittany Moseman threw the shower and truely made the day special for me.

The entire group at Mary's.

I asked that people give books instead of cards

and I got some really neat books.

Our Belly Photo Shoot

Yesterday evening our friends, Brittany and James Moseman, took some pictures of us at Cannon Park in Carterville. We had a really great time and we love the way the pictures turned out. I'm glad we could capture this special time in pictures.
